Salpicão Christmas

Salpicão is a traditional accompaniment to Christmas dinners, much appreciated for its creaminess and combination of several ingredients in just one dish. This recipe takes green apple, apricot, lemon, bacon and more, leaving the dish with a surprisingly delicious flavor!

And to make the preparation easier, we use Copacol smoked chicken, which gives a special touch to your recipe without having to spend hours in the kitchen. In addition, we have other ingredients from Copacol's vegetable line, which will bring more practicality when preparing the dish. Check out the recipe!

__ __ Ingredients     List

  • 1 Copacol Smoked Chicken

  • 200 g of bacon

  • 1 cup Copacol green corn

  • 1 cup Copacol peas

  • 1 large green apple

  • 1 red pepper

  • 1 medium red onion

  • 2 tablespoons of parsley

  • 2 tablespoons chives

  • ½ cup of dried apricots

  • 300 g of mayonnaise

  • 1 teaspoon hot paprika

  • 1 lemon - zest

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 8 medium croissants or more

  • 1 large bowl stove pan

__ __ Preparation       mode

  1. Place a skillet over medium heat, add the diced bacon and fry until crispy. Add the corn and peas to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes, turn off the heat and let cool. Reserve.

  2. Place the Copacol Smoked Chicken on a cutting board and with a knife, cut and remove all the skin. With the help of a fork, remove all the chicken meat from the carcass, in the form of splinters. Reserve.

  3. In a bowl add the flaked smoked chicken, add the chopped green apple, chopped red pepper, red onion, parsley, chives and apricots. Finally add the bacon with corn and peas, mayonnaise, paprika, lemon zest and mix everything very well. Taste the mixture and season with salt and pepper if necessary.

  4. Serve on a large plate and place the halved croissants on a cutting board.
